The original piece was a silver spiral medallion, purchased in Thailand. Our client also had a beautiful yellow sapphire that he wanted to incorporate—both for its appearance and its personal significance. Together, we discussed ideas, explored design options, and found a solution that balanced aesthetics and craftsmanship.
The process:

Lisbet forged a domed plate and soldered it to the back of the medallion

I created a custom setting for the sapphire, soldered it into the existing opening, and carefully set the stone

Finally, we polished the piece and engraved the back with the client’s chosen design
