About me
VerdeRame Jewels was born out of my passion for handicraft and creativity and the need to escape my office job.
In spite of my background in building engineering and conservation of heritage structures, I have always had an interest in traditional jewellery and ancient crafts, which I nurtured during various trips around the globe.

Initially, I pursued this passion through several courses with established, independent artists in various countries - India, Germany, UK and Lebanon. These experiences fuelled my passion to the point that I decided to take the leap and radically change my career.
In 2022, I attended a professional course in Rome, where I refined my skills, and I eventually became a full-time goldsmith under the name VerdeRame.
The name, green copper in Italian, reflects my love of this material, which often features in my pieces and can create beautiful green hues through oxidation.

My work brings together a variety of inspirations and techniques, spanning from the organic shapes of nature to clear-cut geometry. I enjoy mixing and matching traditional techniques, such as granulation and sand-casting, with a variety of materials, including sea glass and non-precious metals and stones.
At the core of my working philosophy is the creation of unique, whimsical pieces that can resonate with the wearer.
Besides my own collections, I create custom pieces and repair old jewellery.
As my focus is the personal and emotional value of jewellery, I greatly enjoy working with my clients so that we can develop together their dream piece, or I can bring back to life a family heirloom for them.
