Portrait of jewellery designer VerdeRame Jewels, Copenhagen

About me

VerdeRame Jewels was born from my passion for handmade jewellery, craftsmanship and creativity, and from the desire to step away from my office career and work with my hands.

Although my academic background is in building engineering and the conservation of heritage structures, I have always been fascinated by traditional jewellery and ancient crafts. Over the years I nurtured this interest during travels around the world, where I had the opportunity to learn from independent artists and goldsmiths in countries including India, Germany, the United Kingdom and Lebanon.

What began as curiosity soon became a calling. I deepened my training through specialised courses with established jewellers and eventually decided to take the leap and change my career completely.

In 2022 I attended a professional goldsmithing course in Rome, where I refined my technical skills and fully committed to working as a jeweller under the name VerdeRame Jewels.

The name - meaning green copper in Italian - reflects my love of this material, which often appears in my work and can develop beautiful green hues through natural oxidation.

My jewellery brings together a wide range of inspirations and techniques, from the organic shapes of nature to more defined geometric forms. I enjoy combining traditional goldsmithing techniques such as granulation and sand casting with unexpected materials, including sea glass, copper and non-precious stones.

At the heart of my work is the desire to create unique, slightly whimsical pieces of jewellery that form a personal connection with the wearer.

Alongside my own collections, I also create custom jewellery and carry out repairs and restoration of old pieces. Because jewellery often carries strong emotional value, I especially enjoy collaborating with clients to design a meaningful new piece or to bring a cherished family heirloom back to life.

All pieces are designed and handmade by me in Copenhagen, Denmark.
