Mediterraneo

This collection portrays VRJ's love for the Mediterranean Sea, the little treasures it lays on the beach and the marvellous creatures that populate it.

The collection relies on a variety of techniques, spanning from wax modelling, casting and smithing, as well as materials, with the intent of depicting the abundance of the sea.

Sea glass fragments, which I collect on the beaches of my home country, and carefully selected stones convey the colours of a marine landscape. Reticulation, fusion of silver dust and copper granules reproduce the ruggedness of sandy beaches and the ripples on the sea surface on windy days. Cactuses, octopuses and fish complete the collection with a quirky touch.
