Mediterraneo reflects VRJ’s deep connection to the Mediterranean Sea - its shoreline treasures and the remarkable creatures that inhabit it.

This collection explores a variety of traditional techniques, including wax modelling, casting and hand-forging, combined with carefully selected materials. The aim is to capture the richness and diversity of the marine landscape.

Sea glass fragments collected on the beaches of my home country, alongside thoughtfully chosen stones, echo the colours of the sea. Textural processes such as reticulation and the fusion of silver dust with copper granules recreate the rugged surfaces of sandy shores and the movement of waves on windy days.

Playful motifs - including cacti, octopuses and fish - add a distinctive character, blending craftsmanship with imagination in a celebration of coastal life.
