Sea shell necklace

The Seashell Necklace is a long silver chain with a silver shell pendant and a stunning rainbow moonstone.

The pendant is made through the cuttlefish casting technique, namely the silver is melted and cast in a cuttlebone with the imprint of a shell carcass. The bone structure leaves a beautiful texture on the silver, similar to layers of wet sand, and the pendant is the precise reproduction of the shell that was used as model. After casting, the pendant is oxidised and polished so as to enhance all details. The pendant is complemented by a cabochon of rainbow moonstone in a bezel setting. The setting and shell are connected through a pivot element, so that the pendant swings gently and can be worn on different sides.

The pendant is in solid silver and has a pleasant weight to it. It is a statement piece perfect for sea lovers, who want to wear a part of the sea without taking anything away from the beach.
